September 2021 Newsletter: Get Involved & Save More Lives!

We’re Part of the Saving Pets Challenge!

Pet Friendly Services has been invited to participate in the Saving Pets Challenge! All month long you can help us help more animals in need.

What if zero pets had to be euthanized due to overpopulation in shelters?

The leading cause of death for dogs and cats in the United States is euthanasia in overcrowded shelters. The only way to end this is through spay and neuter programs. You can be that difference!

Our goal of $5,000 will fund 100 spay or neuter surgeries. This will prevent thousands of accidental litters of puppies and kittens in our state.  A female cat and her offspring can produce as many as 420,000 kittens in just 7 years. A female dog and her offspring can produce 67,000 puppies in just 6 years. Over half of these animals will end up on the streets or in shelters. A single surgery could have prevented it all. By donating today, you’ll save countless animals from suffering in the future.

To the Rescue! Teaming Up with Perry County Animal Welfare to Help Cats In Need

Perry County Animal Welfare received an urgent call regarding cats that were abandoned inside of a home when residents moved away. Some were malnourished, and a momma cat was left to fend for herself and her kittens.

After obtaining a search warrant, the rescue began!

Perry County Animal Welfare got to work trapping the cats so they could be vetted and prepared for their forever homes. Once they have regained their health, Pet Friendly Services will fund spay/neuter surgeries to make these cats adoption-ready.

You can help us help them! Select “Perry County Cats” when you donate on our website.

“I just wanted to say THANK YOU for sponsoring the Public Vet event for cats in Warsaw today. We don’t currently have a low cost neutering facility in our area, so we greatly appreciate it! You’ve allowed those who don’t have the financial means to get their cat(s) fixed.  From what I understand, our local TNR volunteers rely on the support they receive from you as well. As a cat-lover wanting to encourage responsible pet ownership, I certainly appreciate your organization and the support our community has received from you.”
