November 2020 E-News: Helping Animals and Having Fun!

One hundred animal advocates can’t be wrong! We’ve reached over 100 reviews on GreatNonprofits – the leading source for nonprofit reviews. The statements from the shelters and rescues we serve speak to both the impact and need for Pet Friendly Services’ work across the state. Here is just one review, and you can read the rest here!

  • “Pet Friendly Services is the gold standard in how to successfully run a spay/neuter program. They’re showing everyone that the true way to reduce and eliminate euthanasia of healthy, adoptable pets is to do it from the top down—spay and neuter!!” – Eve Crispin, (“FixThemAll”)

Giving Tuesday is just around the corner, and animals need your help now. Your donations help cats and dogs in 300 shelters and rescue groups across Indiana. When you donate to Pet Friendly Services, your dollars remain in our state and help move Indiana to zero kill.

Making a Difference: Fixing Furever Friends at the Love Them For Life Adoption Event!

Alternate text

Last month, we hosted the Love Them For Life Adoption Event in partnership with the ASPCA and Tom Wood Subaru. We had nine rescues join us in a safe, socially distanced event to help their animals find furever homes!

Loving families adopted animals in need and every pet available was fixed with funds from the Pet Friendly License Plate! A huge thank you to our friends at Tom Wood Subaru for being such wonderful hosts!

Mango (and his new family!), adopted from Animal Outreach of Shelby County

Mango is a cat that loves a lot of attention and affection! He insisted on being held or petted, and his loving nature helped him score a new home! Mango’s new mom followed up with us and said, “I couldn’t be happier. He has adjusted to life here perfectly. Thank you again for saving this baby!”

Ray has lots of love to give – and lots of energy to go with

Ray, adopted from Lucci’s House Bully Rescue

it! He adored other dogs, cats, kids, and every human he met! After spending over a year at a Northern Indiana shelter, he became restless and stressed with kennel life.

His luck changed at the Love Them For Life Adoption Event, where he found the perfect family – a big one! His new Mom, Dad have two children and are expecting twins in January. Ray couldn’t be happier to have this many humans to share his new home with!

We served both rescues and their animals with this fun event! Thank you to Tom Wood Subaru and the ASPCA for helping us make it happen!

Memorials

In memory of Barbara “Barbie” Frank from Anne Dubin. For over 30 years, Barbie served in the healthcare sector in Palm Springs. Touching many lives as a nurse, role model and wonderful friend. A driven and compassionate woman with a radiant smile and a passion for animals.

Barbara will be missed as she was so loved in life. She was the strength and anchor of the Frank family. Barbie leaves behind both friends and family, including her precious cats Gucci and Perky.

In memory of Greg High from Sandra Klein. Greg was a kind, thoughtful and generous man. He firmly believed that we are all in this together and that it is up to us to take care of each other, especially the less fortunate and innocent among us, in particular the animals that share our world and our lives. He would speak of cats and dogs as having kind and gentle souls. We shared our lives with many cats over the years. I continue to share mine with 7, all of whom miss Greg. I am a better person for having known him, and there are many others who could say the same, including the many 4-footed beings who were fortunate enough to be cared for and loved by Greg.
