March 2024 Newsletter: What to Expect While You’re Expecting… A Spay/Neuter Appointment!

PupDate: Tilly & Her Puppies

Thanks to your support all of Tilly's puppies AND Tilly will be fixed!

When we asked for your support of Tilly, a pregnant dog abandoned on the streets of Speedway, you came through! We are happy to report that thanks to our supporters, we were able to raise enough funds to provide Speedway Animal Rescue with vouchers for all of her puppies AND mom!

Thanks to you, these puppies will have the best start and be ready for adoption. Better yet, they won’t contribute to shelter overpopulation AND they’ll be Tilly’s last litter!

Thank YOU for helping us help dogs like Tilly! Your support helps us save lives.

What to Expect While You’re Expecting… A Spay/Neuter Appointment

With a nationwide vet shortage, wait-times for spay/neuter appointments can be lengthy. During that time, pets can develop behaviors that are 1) irksome to live with and 2) downright dangerous! Pet Friendly Services has developed a handy guide to managing these behaviors and helping you through the process.

The FIX is IN! is Making a Difference –

Help us Help Even More!

The Fix is IN! is a unique partnership between Pet Friendly Services of Indiana and Public Vet. Did you know that Pet Friendly Services provides a budget for each Public Vet clinic? We do – and it’s making a huge difference by fixing thousands of cats each year! Public Vet makes financial assistance available on a case-by-case basis. Together, we’ve already fixed 2,052 cats in 2024!

With the vet shortage, keeping Public Vet busy in Indiana is critical to expanding surgery capacity. You can help by encouraging people to use these clinics and by helping to spread the word! Public Vet is currently scheduling clinic dates for the first quarter of 2024. You can see their current schedule here.

Don't Drive Without One!

When you support Pet Friendly Services of Indiana, you are supporting shelters, rescues, community cat groups, and people who love their pets. Whether you share a post on social media, donate, drive with the Pet Friendly License Plate, or tell our stories, we appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts.

Thank you for being part of our lifesaving team.
