It’s May in Indianapolis: What are YOU Driving?
May in Indianapolis means one thing – fast cars! While you might not be zipping around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in an Indycar, you CAN join the race to save lives by driving with a Pet Friendly Plate!
When you choose a Pet Friendly Plate, $25 goes to Pet Friendly Services of Indiana to fund spay/neuter surgeries for cats and dogs. EVERY PENNY goes to our lifesaving programs and stays in our state!
We can’t stress enough how much the plate truly makes a difference. Join our team and get yours today!
What and Why: Training and Behavior Change
If you’ve ever wondered why your dog just won’t listen, you’re not alone. Our furry friends can test your patience. But what if the problem isn’t stubbornness or disrespect? What if it’s simply a matter of communication and motivation?
Understanding their perspective can transform your training experience. Curious to learn how to improve your dog’s behavior with empathy and positive reinforcement? Read the full article from Allie Kirby from Sky’s the Limit Animal Training & Behavior.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated and came by Tails and Ales last Thursday, and an extra special thanks to our gracious hosts at the Broad Ripple Brewpub! A great evening cats, dogs, brews and food was had by all!
Did you know that pets of all breeds, ages, sizes, and shapes are available for ADOPTION from shelters and rescues? No matter what you’re looking for, adoption is the best option, AND it saves a life! If you missed Thursday’s event and are still searching for that new best friend, visit www.AdoptINpets.org for a list or rescues and shelters near you!
Stay tuned! Our next Tails & Ales will be in September 2024. Exact date TBD.
2023 was another lifesaving year at Pet Friendly Services of Indiana. As an organization, we recorded our 200,000th spay/neuter surgery, increased veterinary capacity in under-served areas, and continued to support Indiana’s rescue groups and shelters in a time of dire need. These strategies are designed to decrease overpopulation and to protect animals.
Our small but mighty organization reached several more milestones in 2023. Read our annual report to learn more!
Note: Already read it once? Check it out again! Our 2023 audit is complete and we have revised financials.
Not sure what to give you dad for Father’s Day? Terri-Lynn gourmet nuts, candies, and trail mixes are the perfect choice! Order some for dad (and maybe a few for yourself, too)! Every purchase supports spay/neuter!
Order by June 5th for delivery in time for Father’s Day.
Pet Friendly Services will be at Indy Vegfest on Sunday, July 14! You’ll find delicious food from local and regional food vendors along with live performances and presentations. General admission is FREE!
The FIX is IN! is Making a Difference –
Help us Help Even More!
The Fix is IN! is a key partnership between Pet Friendly Services of Indiana and Public Vet. Pet Friendly Services funds every clinic, enabling Public Vet to provide discounts and assistance tailored to individual needs. This collaboration is transforming lives, with thousands of cats being spayed and neutered annually! Together, we’ve already fixed 5,467 cats in 2024 —and we’re on track for a record-setting year!
With the vet shortage, keeping Public Vet busy in Indiana is critical to expanding surgery capacity. You can help by encouraging people to use these clinics and by helping to spread the word! Public Vet is currently scheduling clinic dates for the second quarter of 2024. You can see their current schedule here.
Can You Make a Lifesaving Gift Today?
We know you share our passion for animals and are dedicated to ensuring their lives are valued. When you donate to Pet Friendly Services of Indiana, you can trust that we align with your values and respect your desire to make a lasting impact.
We rely on your support because the animals cannot ask for themselves. Pet Friendly Services receives no government funding, so our lifesaving work depends entirely on the generosity of our community. Thank you for helping us help them.
