We recently shared three stories of animals in desperate need of spay/neuter: 16 hound dogs that had lost their owner to opioid addiction, an influx of cats in Own County, and two dogs (Buddy and Precious) found as strays that led to finding a cat colony. Thanks to our generous supporters, we’ve been able to provide essential spay/neuter certificates to Houndsong Rescue, Homer’s Helpers, and The Humane Society of Owen County. Now, these precious animals will live longer, happier lives and NOT add to the pet overpopulation problem!
When we ask for your support, we mean it. As you are likely aware, we are in critical need of spay/neuter in our state. Our Spay-Neuter Assistance Program for limited-income families sells out within fifteen minutes every Monday morning. People WANT to fix their pets, and we want to help them. Your support means everything to our programming

Tails and Ales returns to the Broad Ripple Brewpub (Indianapolis)! Stop by to meet adoptable animals and learn more about local rescue groups.
Guests can also stay for dinner and enjoy handcrafted beer.
Love Them for Life: Saturday, October 5
Meet your newest family member at the Love them For Life adoption event, hosted by Tom Wood Subaru and Pet Friendly Services of Indiana! Over twenty shelters and rescues will be on site with adoptable cats and dogs ready to find their furever home!
Bring your pet for a meet and greet with adoptable pets, and bring your appetite too because a FREE LUNCH will be provided!
Join us, pet lovers, and adoptable pets at the Indy Pet Parade hosted by Metazoa! This event features a parade through Fletcher Place neighborhood followed by a festival-style party. There will be music, food trucks, local vendors, and fresh beers on tap all day long.

Many small animal rescues do not have a physical location – they host offsite adoption events at locations like pet stores, farmers’ markets, and even breweries.

Rescues & Shelters: Submit your Events!
Indiana-based animal rescues and shelters in the Pet Friendly Services’ network are welcome to submit their events to the calendar. Submissions can include both offsite events AND adoption ‘specials’ at a shelter. Help us help your adoptable pets get noticed! Submit your event here.
The FIX is IN! is Making a Difference!
The Fix is IN! is a key partnership between Pet Friendly Services of Indiana and Public Vet. Pet Friendly Services funds every clinic, enabling Public Vet to provide discounts to ensure everyone can afford to get their cats fixed.
You can help by spreading the word! Cat owners can schedule appointments directly with Public Vet.
