A Tale of 3 Cities Month of August

OK, so they’re really towns. Here’s the story:

Leslie Fittro, representing the winning team of Medora

Three towns in Jackson County are competing to determine who can trap-neuter-return the most community cats. The competitors are: Medora, Crothersville and Clear Springs. SNSI is funding 120 free surgeries for these communities.

Earlier this year, Medora and Crothersville competed. Medora blew Crothersville out of the water, with a score of 79 to 41. But Crothersville is jazzed and is ready to compete to win this round of competition, with Clear Springs also joining the game.

Who knew trapping and caring for feral and free-roaming cats could be so much fun? If your community would like to get involved, please let us know by dropping us an email. SNSI covers the entire state, and we love to help get them fixed.

Want to donate to help with this and other projects? We’d love to have you on our team! With your support, we can do even more for Indiana’s animals.

Northern Indiana Community Cats

 Bob and his community

Thanks to a generous grant from the Kenneth A. Scott Charitable Trust, a KeyBank Trust, SNSI is funding 600 community cat surgeries in Elkhart and St. Joseph Counties. This is our second year of funding this special project, and we’re very excited to support the work of The Meow Mission, Catsnip, and Elkhart County Feral Cat Coalition

These hard-working rescue groups are engaging their communities, helping people in need, and improving the quality of life for community (feral and free-roaming) cats.

Did you know? Fixed cats are less likely to roam, to get into fights and to exhibit other behaviors that people find problematic. Of course, fixed cats can’t reproduce, and that’s the bottom line. People love their community cats but want to limit their numbers. Together, we’re doing this!

Special Funding To Helps Animals!

Thanks to generous funding from STOP PET OVERPOPULATION TODAY. SNSI will be funding additional surgeries in Clay, Owen, Putnam and Vigo Counties. If you are a shelter or 501(c)(3) rescue organization in one of these counties, be sure to submit your 2018 Pet Friendly Group Grant and/or Community Cat Program applications to SNSI so we can issue certificates to your group.

A big thank you to the STOP PET OVERPOPULATION TODAY Clinic for their shared-mission to reduce shelter overpopulation by spaying and neutering to prevent unwanted litter. Together, we’re moving Indiana toward zero kill!

Memorials & Bequests

In Memory of Esther Fuller Esther was humble and self-effacing.  She never really comprehended the impact she had on everyone she met or knew.  She was a deeply spiritual woman who’s solid grounding touched many people.  She was an esteemed leader, entrepreneur, role model, mentor, friend, sister, aunt and wife. Esther loved to read, loved her family and friends, children and cats; she loved to travel, but most especially loved her dear Rae.  And she was deeply loved in return.

From the SNSI family

In memory of Romeo, who was adopted by Missy Patton. Missy drove through a snow storm to pick him up and provided years of love and tender care to her beautiful boy. Romeo will be sadly missed by both Missy and his family of five doggies.

Want to memorialize a lost loved one or pet with a lifesaving gift to SNSI? Make a donation and in the comment section, provide information. If you’d like to include a photo, you can send it to us at info@GetThemFixed.org
