The FIX is IN! is on a Roll!

Thanks to your support, the FIX is IN! has now assisted over 1,000 cats in areas across the state. At a conservative estimate, that has prevented 7,500 kittens in the upcoming year. Our donors are making success stories like this one possible, and truly making a difference for cats and the people who love them.

“Pet Friendly Services made it possible for me to spay and neuter 20 colony cats that I have been caring for. I paid what little I could, and they covered the rest. It’s such a big relief going into spring and summer knowing there will be no more babies! I love each and every one of these kitties and this makes it so much easier for me to care for them. Thank You Again”  – Colony caretaker receiving assistance

Rain & Lita (People United 4 Pets Rescue)

Pet Friendly Services has provided free spay/neuter surgeries to over 300 rescue partners across the state. This helps them use their scarce resources for critical medical needs for animals that need them, like Rain and Lita.

Rain was abandoned by her family and living as a stray before she came to People United 4 Pets Rescue. At first, it was assumed she had gastrointestinal issues and malnutrition, but at her initial vet visit it became clear that her situation was much more dire. Diagnostics confirmed that Rain had internal bleeding and a blockage between the stomach, intestine, and further areas.

Now, after lifesaving surgery, Rain is on the mend in foster care. When she’s recovered, Pet Friendly Services will make her “adoption-ready” with a spay surgery, and she’ll find the loving home she deserves!

Lita was born to a stray before being rescued. Despite her rough beginnings, she took to humans and other dogs instantly. Weighing in at 2lbs 12oz, she’s pure hilarity and joy!

Thanks to Pet Friendly Services, Lita will have a free spay surgery when she’s the right age.

While we’d probably ALL want to adopt her, she already has the perfect forever home waiting for her!

You can help make more pets adoption-ready by supporting Pet Friendly Services! Every animal spayed or neutered gets Indiana closer to being a zero kill state!

DePauw Campus Cat Allies

DePauw University has campus cats! This cat colony lives outdoors at the university (rent free!) and is cared for by Depauw Campus Cat Allies (DCCA) – a student-led group of roughly 30 dedicated cat lovers working toward humane and long-term solutions for the homeless cat population of the DePauw and Greencastle community.

The club leader, Lauren Monroe, helps coordinate and ensure that the cats have adequate food, water, and proper shelter in cold weather. Pet Friendly Services supports their work by providing free spay/neuter surgeries for their Trap-Neuter-Return projects. Together we’re keeping cats safe and the population under control!

“I joined DCCA because I love seeing all the fur babies around campus and I really miss my cats at home. It is so important to me to be a part of saving/helping them! Without clubs like this or people like the amazing leaders of this club, these cats would freeze or go hungry. I feel lucky to be a part of helping these kitties” – Elise Monroe, DCCA member
