As Indiana’s statewide animal welfare organization, Pet Friendly Services is working hard to make a difference for the cats and dog we all love.
Thanks to the generous support of Hoosier animal advocates like you, we continue to address pet overpopulation at its source while keeping our services as affordable as possible. Despite rising costs, our Spay-Neuter Assistance Program remains at just $25 for eligible families, ensuring that pet owners in need can access critical services. Our targeted programs focus on at-risk animals like large dogs, shelter pets, and cats across all areas of Indiana.
Beyond spay/neuter, we’re also committed to helping pets in the shelter and rescue system find their forever homes. We recently hosted two adoption events, giving volunteer-based rescues the opportunity to connect their animals with loving families.
Read on to discover the impact we’ve made so far this year, and how together, we’re making a difference for Indiana’s cats and dogs!

Adopting a Pet Saves a Life!
This fall, we hosted two adoption events to help connect pets in foster homes and shelters with their forever families. Small, volunteer-led rescues often do not have a brick and mortar location – instead, they rely on events like these to showcase their pets!
Pet Friendly Services remains committed to making these connections happen! To spotlight adoptable pets, we created an Adoption Event Calendar to help adopters find events and their perfect new best friend! Dogs of every breed, size, and age, as well as beautiful cats and kittens are all available at shelters across Indiana!

The #1 way to reduce the burden on shelters is by reducing the intake of cats!
Catching up with The FIX is IN!
“The Fix is IN!” has already surpassed fixing 10,000 cats in 2024. That’s 10,000 cats that will go home with their families to live happy lives rather than having unwanted litters arriving at your local shelter. It’s hard to measure just how big of an impact that is!
Thanks to special grant funding from the Joanie Bernard Foundation and the Kenneth A. Scott Charitable Trust, we’ve expanded our financial support to targeted areas of the state. This will allow for more clinics, more access to spay/neuter, and more fixed cats!
Pet Friendly Services provides financial assistance to families and colony caretakers who could not otherwise afford to fix their cats, helping to stop overpopulation at the source.
To see where The Fix is IN! will be next and to make an appointment, visit Public Vet’s website. More clinics will be listed soon!
Now Saving Lives AND Money!
The second quarter of 2024 also saw the launch of our new partnership with Jiffy Lube of Indiana! All locations (except Crawfordsville) are now offering special discounts to any vehicle that drives with a Pet Friendly Plate!
Benefits add up to $40 and include a complimentary tire rotation, a $10 discount on oil changes, and a generous 10% off other services**. No coupon is necessary – just let your technician know you drive with the Pet Friendly Plate!
*up to $40 in savings when all discounts applied
**10% discount does not include brakes or tires
