Monon Veterinary Clinic – Get Them Fixed Challenge!

Our partnering vet, Monon Veterinary Clinic in White County is helping SNSI and Happy Tails Animal Care Center fix community cats. For each full-price surgery covered by SNSI, the Monon Vet Clinic will perform a surgery at no cost to Happy Tails Animal Care Center. This means we will double the number of surgeries for community cats. Thank you, Monon Veterinary Clinic, for your ongoing work to help Indiana’s animals!

SNSI would love the opportunity to fix even more cats. That’s where we need your help! No amount is too big or too small. We appreciate them all!

Brookside Neighborhood Collaboration

SNSI teamed up with FIDO (Friends of Indianapolis Dogs Outside), the FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic and Indianapolis Animal Care Services to help animals in Indianapolis’ Brookside neighborhood.

The Brookside Neighborhood has historically ranked at the top regarding animal calls for service, ordinance violations, an d animal intakes at Indianapolis Animal Care Services. Fortunately, Brookside also has a strong and engaged neighborhood association and is geographically located between FIDO and the FACE Clinic.

At the July 28th event, SNSI’s partner groups provided direct services to 60 cats and dogs, with another 83 animals to receive vaccinations and micro-chipping when they are spayed/neutered at the FACE Clinic.

SNSI is funding 55 of these surgeries, thanks to the financial support of our donors.

 Thank you!

Rescued!

Thanks to your donations, SNSI has been able to provide additional assistance to animals in need. Pictured here are three of the 25 cats and dogs rescued by the Owen County Humane Society as a result of a hoarding situation that involved 83 animals. SNSI is fixing all 25 cats and dogs! They’ll be adoption-ready and going to their forever homes.

Your donations also help animals like these little cuties. Both belong to people living in homeless camps. SNSI provides free spay/neuter certificates to SOAR (Street Outreach Animal Response Initiative), who works directly with pet owners and caretakers to ensure their animals are fixed, healthy and well fed.

Requests for SNSI’s services are extremely high. If you know the root cause of shelter overpopulation is that there are simply too many animals, then please join us in funding spay/neuter surgeries.

Your donation makes a direct and lasting impact. Let’s love them all like they are our own pets. Let’s move Indiana toward zero-kill status.

Memorials & Bequests

Barbara was a long-time member and Sunday school teacher at Elmendorf First Baptist Church (Texas.) A fierce defender of both her faith and country, she served as a nurse first in the Army then Navy from 1944 – 1956 during WWII and the https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/bloomerang-public-cdn/spayneuterservicesofindianainc/barbara-ward.jpgKorean Conflict, earning the Korean Service Medal. She continued her nursing career in civilian life as an RN in various hospitals. She was active in her community, volunteering for the March of Dimes, school functions, food drives and polling stations. She greeted everyone with her big smile and never knew a stranger. Every stray animal that wandered into the yard or the kids brought home became permanent members of the family. Most importantly to those of us at SNSI, Barbara was a wonderful mother and role model to our long-term board member, Cyndi Collins. The board and staff at SNSI are greatly saddened by this loss.Want to memorialize a lost loved one or pet with a lifesaving gift to SNSI?
