Dear Pet Friendly Supporter:
Spring is just around the corner, which marks the beginning of “kitten season” – a time when our shelters are flooded with new litters. This makes spay/neuter more important than ever. By focusing on prevention now, we can save countless lives later this year.
In this update, you’ll see exactly how your support makes a difference, from our Fixed Pet Feature to the educational breakthroughs waiting at the Indiana Animal Welfare Conference. Whether you’re donating to our spring fundraiser or sharing our mission with friends, you are helping us build a healthier, safer Indiana for every pet. Thank you!
Fixed Pet Feature: Bandit
We are so happy to share that Bandit was recently neutered! The procedure went very smoothly, and our veterinarian even discovered and removed a small mass during the surgery. Neutering is such a vital step in protecting a pet’s long-term health, and it helps us ensure a healthier future for all animals in our community. Most importantly, Bandit is back to doing what he does best: enjoying life as the happy, playful pup we love!

When you support Pet Friendly Services, you’re helping dogs like Bandit stay happy, healthy, and with the people who love them.
Have Your Voice Heard
The United Spay Alliance is looking for your feedback! They are working to better understand the current landscape of spay/neuter services for dogs, and
how recommendations and timing for these procedures might be changing. Whether you work in animal welfare, volunteer your time, or simply support the cause, your perspective is valuable! This survey is open to everyone and takes just 8–10 minutes to complete.
Registration for the Indiana Animal Welfare Conference is open now – and filling fast!
We invite everyone to join us, from seasoned professionals and volunteers to those brand new to animal welfare.
This year’s conference features three separate learning tracks:
1. Shelter/Rescue Operations,
2. Leadership & Strategic Planning
3. Veterinary/Shelter Medicine (Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians can earn up to 5 CEs!)
There’s also a Friday night networking reception featuring the first-ever ‘Pawflix’ Awards! It’s a wonderful chance to connect with others who share your passion for animals.
Our See’s Candy store is refreshed and ready with Easter and Spring-time themed goodies!
Why this fundraiser is so sweet:
- Every purchase supports Pet Friendly Services of Indiana and funds vital programs.
- See’s Candies are handmade with premium ingredients, lovingly packaged, and perfect for surprises.
- No need to choose between thoughtful gifts and doing good — this year, you can do both!
