Did you know if cats and dogs aren’t fixed in February, they can be parents by May? You can help prevent unwanted litters AND show someone you care by purchasing candies and sweets from our Terri Lynn fundraising page. A portion of every purchase helps us help Indiana’s cats and dogs!

Partnering to Help Communities Across the State!

Pet Friendly Services is partnering with Public Vet to help fix cats across the state!

Public Vet is a traveling veterinary clinic that focuses on at-risk communities. When a pet owner finds themselves in a difficult financial situation they still want to give their pet the best life possible. Now, with support from Pet Friendly Services, financial assistance will be available for those who need it.

Here are a couple of the families we recently helped:

“We adopted two kittens from my sister-in-law when her cat had kittens. Our daughters, ages 2 and 3, begged for cats. We normally could afford to get them fixed, but my husband has been out of work due to the pandemic.”

“I got Evie from someone I know. She is the sweetest little girl. My children left home this past year to start their lives and it was very difficult for me. All I ever wanted was to be a mom. Evie has helped ease this loneliness and I want her to be with me and as healthy as possible.”

Public Vet will be in Evansville on February 20-21. You can check their website for upcoming clinics, here.

Working Together To Save More Lives

A TNR (Trap Neuter Return) success story! On two weekends in January, Pet Friendly Services collaborated with CanINE Express Transport Project and Feral Cat Friends to fix cats from Monroe and Owen counties.

Pet Friendly Services originally planned to cover spay/neuter costs for 40 cats per weekend – but when the trapping got started, the cats kept coming! We increased our original commitment to accommodate for the extra cats, since TNR’ing before spring is critical to making an impact on “kitten season”.

When the tallies came in, 48 cats on the first weekend and 53 cats on the second were taken to the SPOT Clinic in Terre Haute for spay/neuter surgeries. Now they’ll be happier, healthier, and returned to their home.

WTHI covered this story, you can watch it here.

You Helped Us Help Them!

A few weeks ago we asked for your help with a tragic situation unfolding in Tennessee. Over 250 dogs were rescued from an animal abuse situation and were in desperate need of help.

Thanks to our supporters, we reached our funding goal for this project and will be able to fix ALL of the dogs coming to Indiana from this terrible situation.

These dogs still have a long way to go before they’re adoption-ready. If you’re interested in giving one its forever home, they’re in the loving care of Tails and Trails Rescue Great Babies Rescue.

Your Support Makes All the Difference

Our donors make everything possible! Pet Friendly Services receives no government funding. All of the animals we help rely solely on donations, grants, and sales of the Pet Friendly License Plate. Every donation makes a difference!
